About the Role

The Foodservice Consultant at 4xi Global is a client-facing expert responsible for advising organizations on optimizing their dining operations, culinary programs, service delivery, and overall guest experience. This role blends deep industry expertise with analytical thinking and human-centered design to help clients improve quality, efficiency, financial performance, and customer satisfaction across workplaces, education, healthcare, senior living, and leisure environments. The consultant supports end-to-end engagements—from discovery and diagnostics through solution design and implementation—while contributing to 4xi’s thought leadership and growing the 4xi360 Resource Center.

Requirements

Education & Professional Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business, Foodservice Management, or related field.

  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in foodservice operations, hospitality leadership, culinary management, or consulting.

  • Experience in contract dining, corporate foodservice, higher education, healthcare, or high-volume operations preferred.

  • Culinary background or certification is a plus.


Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong operational knowledge across BOH and FOH foodservice environments.

  • Financial literacy with experience analyzing P&Ls, labor models, and operational KPIs.

  • Expertise in food safety, health codes, HACCP, and regulatory compliance.

  • Proficiency with technology used in foodservice operations (POS, production software, menu management tools).

  • Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.

  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.


Communication & Interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations.

  • Ability to build rapport quickly with culinary teams, operators, and client stakeholders.

  • Skilled facilitator, comfortable leading discussions, interviews, and workshops.

  • Strong service mindset with a focus on elevating guest and employee experience.
